MEDIA RELEASE

Cracking New Years Eve Family Concert for Paradise Pt.

“Oh, What a Night,” it will be!

Australian Events and Entertainment presents an unforgettable line up of headline acts to rock and bop families into 2011 with the “Oh, What a Night,” concert.

The countdown to New years Eve begins at 5.45pm with a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons with 11 singers and dancers from Sheridan’s Studio 1. Aged from 8 to 14 they are often referred to as “The Pocket Rockets” and are Gold Coast’s ultimate performance group.

The Silly Billies, with two DVDs well over triple gold sales, are Australia’s best and brightest independent children’s entertainers ready to have the whole family laughing and having fun together.  Their live comedy variety show of Sing-Along, Dance-Along fun with human size puppet characters is a special N.Y.E treat for children aged 2 to 10.

David De Vito is said to have a voice with power to transcend and captivate. Be amazed by David’s voice as he sings pop greats and opera favourites that will make ripples in your blood and resonate through your bones.  David’s voice is at once overwhelming in its power and astonishing in its beauty. You don’t want to miss this experience....

Introducing new local talents to the “Oh, What A Night” stage is Emmanuel College school girl Sophie Scott. Toted as being Australia’s next musical theatre star,  young  Sophie will bring warmth to your  heart and a tear to your eye with her hopeful rendition of “Somewhere over the rainbow.” Coomera Anglican College’s very own Chase Vollenweider will “sizzle the stage” with his hip, hop streetdance accompanied by Youth Radio Training Centre’s D.J Jordan.

Queensland’s premier showband the OZ HORNZ will take the night to a frenzy level  with its 9 piece party band playing live at Paradise Point to complete the “Oh, What A Night,” concert. Come and see a live 3 piece horn section dancing and playing popular music, the rhythm section grooving in the backline with a collection of Top 40 hits and some good old classics for the adults.

Join in with the Oz Hornz crazy antics and audience involvement and expect to say a rockin’ goodbye to 2010. The Oz Hornz have played festivals and shows all over Australia and internationally and performed with Marcia Hines, Glenn Shorrock , and most  recently Guy Sebastian, Paulini and The Pot Belleez..  Expect to hear hits from Abba, The Jacksons, B52’s, Katy Perry, Pink and The Black Eyed Peas.

The Paradise Point Parklands comes to life with a cracking 9pm fireworks display.
